Accountability Women in Progress takes small steps to fulfill our aspiration for global change through commitment to performance and unyielding integrity. By measuring our own success by that of our clients, we place a great deal of emphasis on taking accountability for the things we do, including the long-term outcome of the woman-owned businesses we serve. Women in Progress is committed to measuring the results generated through our various programs so that clients, volunteers, donors, employees, and host governments can understand the impact that Women in Progress is having on sustainable economic development. Analyzing the results of the each project allows us to understand what works, what doesn’t, and why. Adjustments to program processes and methodologies can then be made in order to improve the results of future projects. Project Monitoring & Evaluation Once a woman-owned business successfully completes the client selection process and is accepted into one of our programs, she is required to fulfill several reporting requirements. In addition to documenting the progress during the project, she will continue to report on the measurable results of the project for a specified period of time to know whether the predetermined objectives were met. The Women in Progress staff will also perform site visits and provide reporting assistance to clients. Internal Controls & Auditing Women in Progress also ensures that distribution of funds is in a manner that carries out the purpose of our organization. We exercise internal controls to ensure proper use of nonprofit resources and utilizes outside accounting and legal professionals to conduct annual independent audits that address our financial statements, internal controls, and compliance with laws and regulations. Take a closer look at our accomplishments by reviewing our Annual Reports. |
